William August Hunt is a composer based in Los Angeles, CA.

His music can be heard in trailers for films and series like The Mandalorian, Shang-Chi, Frozen 2, Venom, Star Wars, Fantastic Beasts, The King’s Man, and A24’s Close. Take a look.

He has also worked extensively in video game advertising, creating original music for games like The Last Guardian and Astroneer.

Outside of trailers, Hunt has composed for brands including Lexus, Western Digital, Toyota, and Playstation. He co-composed the opening title theme for CNN’s Declassified, and worked as a song arranger on Disney’s The Jungle Book.

Since 2013 he has worked with The Hit House, a premier music and sound design company.

Hunt is the recipient of multiple Clio and Golden Trailer Awards for projects like Beauty and the Beast, Bloodborne, The Jungle Book, Marcel The Shell With Shoes On, and more.
